Design Team Search
Monday, September 28th, 2009Color Me Daisy is searching for up to 6 new members for our design team. We want enthusiastic, creative people excited about inspiring others to be part of our team. We are looking for designers with a variety of styles and ideas that will excite and inspire our customers. Previous design team experience is not necessary.
Design team submissions accepted September 28, 2009 – October 18, 2009. The design team will be chosen and the selected Daisy Girls will be contacted by October 21, 2009. The Design Team Member term begins on October 21st and will continue for 12 months.
At this time we can only accept applications for members located in the US or Canada.
To apply please upload your submissions to the Color Me Daisy October 2009 Design Team Call Search Submissions Gallery. We want to see a representative sample of your work which must include:
-1 original layout created for this call either with the theme “Fall Favorites” or it may be based on one of the challenges in our “Fall into Fall” Challenges beginning October 12th. If using the Fall Favorites theme, the layout should reflect the theme but does not need to use Fall Favorites in the title or journaling.
-2 additional layouts
-1 card
-1 altered project or an additional layout
Other than the original layout requirement, projects previously created and published on any sites or in print are acceptable. We want to see your best work. Layouts may be 1 or 2 page layouts, with single or multiple photos of any size. Gallery uploads should be no larger than 600×600 pixels and 200kb.
In addition to your uploaded submissions e-mail the following information to designteam@colormedaisy.com:
-Name, address, phone number, e-mail address and user name in the Color Me Daisy Gallery
-Tell us about you, why you scrapbook and what you can bring to our design team. What do you like to scrapbook, etc.
-Tell us about your experience with other design teams (current or past) and any other related experience you have. If you are currently on other design teams, please comment on why you want to be on more than one design team. How will you ensure you meet your commitments to our design team?
Include links to:
-Your blog or personal website (we strongly desire our design team to have a personal blog that they show their scrapbooking works on).
-Any online galleries where your work is displayed. (include user id’s where necessary)
-Any scrapbook or papercrafting message boards that you actively participate in. (include user id’s where necessary)
-We would like a chance to get to know you. Join our message board forum and our Facebook fan page to participate in the discussions. Due to the high volume of spam registrations, all registrations must receive admin approval. If you do not receive a response within 4 hours of registering, please e-mail us with the user name at designteam@colormedaisy.com.
Design Team Requirements:
Upon acceptance of a design team position the designer will sign and return the design team contract and provide a short bio and head shot by October 23rd.
Each DT member will receive the main kit on an every other month basis beginning with either the November or December kit.
For the month that a kit is received each DT receiving a kit will:
-Upload to the CMD gallery by the 1st of the month (and no later than the 5th) 3 original layouts and 1-2 cards. Altered projects are encouraged but not required and may be substituted for 1 card or 1 layout. Projects must contain at least 80% of consumable products that are included in the kit or may be purchased on our site. Tools such as stamps, die cut machines, punches, ink, etc. may be used without limitation.
-Host the CMD blog 1 week during the month (at least 3 posts during that week including one challenge cross posted to the message board and our Facebook fan page) – monthly schedule to be established on the DT private board.
Each month all DT members will be required to:
-Participate in the CMD message board at least 4 days a week by commenting and starting new threads.
-Comment on gallery submissions regularly.
-Participate in the CMD Facebook fan page.
-Promote CMD on your blog and other websites and forums where permitted.
-Actively participate in periodic blog hops, online crops or other CMD events including planning and hosting challenges and/or games (these will typically be held every 2 months).
-Maintain a blog and post CMD sneak peeks, events and DT work.
-Communicate with Color Me Daisy regarding questions, suggestions for improvement in the website, and kit suggestions.
Design Team Benefits
-You will receive the current month’s kit every other month during the commitment period.
-For months where you do not receive a main kit you may be asked to design with a mini or project kit when one is offered (if this is done, free shipping will be available for any add on’s purchased that month)
-Receive a 25% discount on any purchases made. Items will be shipped free when included with your monthly kit. On months you do not receive a kit you may purchase a kit with the DT discount, you will have the option to pay shipping ($7.00) or have the items held until your next shipment.
-Your bio, picture and gallery will be featured on the Color Me Daisy website as a Daisy Girl design team member.
-You retain all of your work and are encouraged to submit your work for publication, post in other galleries, etc. Please include in any credits that the materials were part of a Color Me Daisy kit.
-We know the effort you put into your designs, you will also receive occasional goodies in addition to your monthly kit.
-Access to the Daisy Girl Design Team private message board.
