Color Me Daisy is looking for Daisy Girls!

Color Me Daisy is searching for new members for our design team. We want enthusiastic, creative people excited about inspiring others to be part of our team. We are looking for designers with a variety of styles and skills. Previous design team experience is not necessary.

Design team submissions accepted January 12, 2009 - January 24, 2009. The design team will be chosen and the selected Daisy Girls will be contacted by January 26, 2009.

This call is limited to US residents only.

To apply please send the following to designteam@colormedaisy.com:

• Name, address, phone number, and e-mail address

• We want to see a representative sample of your work to include 2-3 layouts, 1 card and 1 altered project. Previously published projects are acceptable. We want to see your best work. Please send your submissions as JPEG or PDF files not larger than 200kb each.

• Tell us about you, why you scrapbook and what you can bring to our design team. What do you like to scrapbook, etc.

• Include links to:

• Your blog or personal website (if you have one)

• Any online galleries where your work is displayed (include user id’s where necessary)

• Any scrapbook or papercrafting message boards that you actively participate in. (include user id’s where necessary)

• Tell us about yourself and what you can bring to our design team.

• Tell us about your experience with other design teams (current or past) and any other related experience you have. If you are currently on other design teams, please comment on why you want to be on more than one design team. How will you ensure you meet your commitments to our design team?

• We would like a chance to get to know you. Join our message board forum and participate in the discussions.

Design Team Requirements:

Submit 2 layouts, 1 – 2 cards and 1 altered project each month (or 1 additional layout). All projects should contain at least 80% of the kit materials or products that may be purchased on our site. Projects must be uploaded prior to the monthly deadline.

Active participation several times a week on our message boards and gallery, including starting and responding to threads, posting questions and tips and leaving comments in the gallery.

• Host a monthly challenge on our message board, including commenting on submissions from members.

• Participate in periodic events (i.e. online crops) by hosting challenges and/or games. Anticipated to be no more than 2-3 per term.

• You have an opportunity to teach classes on our site (how-to for altered project or technique). This is optional.

• Help judge contests (as needed)

• Be able to commit to a 7 month term (February 2009 – September 2009)

• Sign and return the design team contract and provide a short bio of yourself and a head shot by January 27th.

• Promote Color Me Daisy on your blog (by including a link and posting your projects), and in signatures in other forums, where permitted.

Design Team Benefits

• You will receive the current month’s kit each month during the commitment period

• Receive a 25% discount on any purchases made. Items will be shipped free when included with your monthly kit.

• Your bio, picture and gallery will be featured on the Color Me Daisy website as a Daisy Girl design team member.

• You retain all of your work and may submit your work for publication, post in other galleries, etc. Please include in any credits that the materials were part of a Color Me Daisy kit.

• We know the effort you put into your designs, you will also receive occasional goodies in addition to your monthly kit.

• Access to the Daisy Girl Design Team private message board.
