Wishing mothers everywhere a very happy Mother’s Day from Color Me Daisy!!!!Today we are going to purchase a flowering crabapple tree and plant it in honor of my mom.  My kids surprised me on Friday with  lovely bouquet of flowers that was delievered to the High School Library.   It nearly brought tears to my eyes!!!  I am soooo blessed!!!  What are your plans for the day???  I look forward to hearing how you are going to celebrate Mother’s Day.   I will be back in 24 hours to draw another winner!!!

Hi girls! Deanna here! I hope you’re enjoying the RAK-a-day fun AND the “Happiness” crop challenges over on the MB too! What a fun month, huh?! So much inspiration, so many fun challenges!

Well, for my RAK (don’t you always feel funny saying that?! hehe!) I’d love to know how you make your products your own. How do you customize or repurpose items from your stash or that may not exactly “match” your LO.  For this LO, “Washing Snails” I customized the Thickers. I used stickles to turn the puffy kite Thicker from green to red so it’d stand out. And I used the purple Sprinkle Thickers for my title, but again covered them with red stickles, this time to make a visual triangle of red.

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week for the teachers at my children’s school and today was the day to bring your teacher a sweet treat. My kids and I dipped pretzels in chocolate last night and then drizzled them with more chocolate. Boy, they are good!!! And I decided that since the packaging MAKES the package (don’t you think???) I needed to make something fun to present the sweet treats to the teachers. I used the May ‘Happiness’ kit for this little basket. I used a pre-made template and folded this basket up in about 15 minutes, easy peasy!! Made a matching tag and there it is! A cute little sweet treat basket!!

So I want to know…do you have a teacher that you loved when you were in school? Somebody who you still remember? A teacher that inspired you? I want to hear about it!! Leave a comment about your most memorable teacher to be eligible for the RAK today!!

Hi everyone!!! I am sooooo glad you are joining us here at Color Me Daisy for our Rak A Day in the Month of May!!! This is an exciting month at Color Me Daisy with Challenges and Raks galore!!! I also hope you get a chance to join us on the message boards for challenges and the chance to win some fantastic prizes. We would also love to meet you and get to know you better!!!

The kit that is featured this month is absolutely amazingl!!! I love  the MME papers and all the goodies Michelle has included in the kit!!!  Also available are Maya Road Mists.  I don’t know if you have tried them or not, but they are a lot of fun to play with and they can make a dramatic change to your papers!!!  In the layout below, I used a square mask that I cut out of some of my cardstock stash and centered it on my patterned paper.  Then, I sprayed the mist around the outside edge of my patterned paper creating a colored edge.Way fun!!!  

Have you tried Maya Mists before?  I would love to hear what you think of them and what creative ideas you have for using them.  I will be drawing  a winner from today’s comments and Color Me Daisy will send  out a fun little RAK.
